Slate has been used on roofs for hundreds of years, and the methods we use to fix them in place are just as timeless.
We begin with removing the ridging, carefully stripping the old slate and the supporting battens. From there we can begin the re-roof by attached breathable membrane felt and securing with new refix-treated battens that adhere to British standards. Once finished, we check the old slate and reapply any that are still in good condition, whilst adding new matching slate to fill out the roof.
Finally we rebed and point the old ridges so your roof is looking good as new!

Concrete tile is a more affordable option than slate and popular on modern homes. The process is similar to traditional slating, such as striping the old tile, battens and membrane before replacing everything new, quality materials.
